Trunk or Treat at Mt Olive St Paul

A fun and safe trick-or-treating experience for kids in our parking lot. They can get candy in their costumes from decorated car trunks - it's like hitting 20 houses in 10 minutes! So start designing your trunk!

This will also be the last day of our Coat Drive for Mental Health Resources in St Paul. So bring your new or gently used, clean, warm winter coats, snow pants, hats, gloves, mittens, scarves, and socks that day - we'll have specially decorated drop-off trunk! More details here.

And if you'd like to donate candy (sometimes it gets expensive...), so people can participate by only decorating their car, please bring to the office any time between now and the event.

Saints Game

Mt Olive will be hosting their first annual Saint Paul Saints outing on Wednesday, August 28th at the Saint's 7:05pm game at CHS Field. This event is a way for our church to build community amongst members, guests, and friends, have some fun together, and get Mt Olive's name out there!

We have a few tickets left -- please click here to complete the RSVP form to snag your spots! We hope you are able to join us!

Those who’ve already reserved a ticket can pick it up from the office in exchange for payment ($14/ticket - cash or checks payable to Mt Olive Lutheran Church). If you are unable to pick tickets up before game night, you can meet Anna at the Broadway entrance (507.766.1012) at 6:45pm.

Volunteer Meeting

Are you one of our awesome volunteers!?

Do you volunteer with any of the following teams?:

  • Guest Services

  • Worship (AV & altar)

  • Hospitality (coffee & snacks)

  • Sunday School

  • Shut-In Ministry

  • Office

  • Property & Grounds (upkeep, garden, shoveling, etc.)

  • Communications

If you do, we'd ask that you join us this coming Sunday, August 18 after worship for a training session as we get ready for fall. We'll touch on our upcoming yearly theme - Impact through Service - and look at how what you do makes such an impact on the people you serve, Mt Olive's ministry, and also, yourself!

***We will be recording the meeting, so if you're not able to join us this weekend, we'll send a link for you to watch later.

If you're not yet a part of a team, but would like to get involved, click here. We'll be in contact about how you can help make an impact through service as we continue to Seek Jesus, Share His Love, and Build Community at Mt Olive St Paul.

VOLUNTEERING: Lyngblomsten Mid-Summer Festival

Our Lyngblomsten neighbors across the street put on a mid-summer festival during ComoFest each year, and there’s always a large turnout! This will be our second year building community with them and our neighborhood by volunteering at the face paint/tattoos/crazy hair booth. Absolutely no experience necessary! The activities are easy, or there is a visiting artists who is providing instruction and the volunteers just assist. Mt Olive will have the 4:45-8:15pm shift.

Contact Ben Brown (benbrown1.618@gmail.com) if you are interested in helping out! More information about the festival is available at celebratemsf.com.
