Additional ways to be generous:
Mental Health Resources & St. Paul Neighborhood House Fall Drive
At Mt Olive, a core part of our mission is building community and sharing the love of Jesus.
To support this mission, we will be running supply drives for both Mental Health Resources and Neighborhood House in St. Paul to help fill some of our community’s needs.
We’ll be collecting winter clothes for our neighbors who may need extra help to keep warm during the Minnesota winter as well as food shelf items. Wondering how you can help?
From now through December 15 (Mt Olive’s Advent Song Service) We will be collecting the following items to donate to these organizations:
-New or gently used winter boots, snow pants, and winter coats (especially sizes 2XXL-5XXL)
-Items from Neighborhood House’s food shelf wish list, which includes healthy and multicultural grocery items. Staple items that are always needed are flour, oil, canned fruit, corn, beans, and meat, coconut milk, noodles, and rice.
You can drop items off at church on Sundays, or arrange a separate time by emailing community@mtolivestpaul.org.
Capital Campaign
Building the Next 100 Years
A new Pay It Forward capital campaign that invests heavily in new spaces for our Kids & Family Ministry effort.
The lower level of Mount Olive is in need of updating. The Mount Olive Coordinating Council has developed a facilities strategy out of our mission of Seeking Jesus, Sharing His Love, and Building Community. As we seek to serve our mission field here among the families of Como Park neighborhood of St. Paul, it is necessary to invest in spaces that people want to gather, learn, grow, and be in.
The project is focused on renovating the Kids Ministry room on the first floor and is estimated to cost about $100,000.
We have applied for a grant from the Antioch Foundation that could cover $40,000. We have one-time legacy gifts that will match the first $25,000. The “Building the Next 100 Years” campaign’s fundraising goal is $35,000.
You can help by praying for the Lord to bless this effort and by giving back to God a portion of what He has blessed you with. To contribute to the future of the ministry here at Mount Olive, click the Rebel Give icon, enter the amount you’d like to give and choose “Building the Next 100 Years.”
