Death is not the end.

In Jesus, all things that die are not lost. We know that humans die, relationships die, health diminishes until we die. We see a car go from “new off the lot” to dented, then to rusted, to broken and, in some parts of the country, left in the yard to rust away to nothing. The car is no more useful. It is dead.

Is that the end to all of us? Is there only despair?

In this world we experience so many of the ravages of sin. God predicted death as an outcome of that first sin in the Garden of Eden. But He also promised a solution. The solution would come and it would present itself in an energetic, vibrant way: Life. God would send His Son to be for us life. Jesus is the way to get back into the Garden.

“Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me’”(John 14:6).

Death is not the end; Life through Jesus is the end . . . or, in reality, the beginning of eternity.
